SLEEP DISORDERS ARE LINKED TO MANY CHRONIC HEALTH PROBLEMS.
Your health and sleep challenges may not be what you think.
Sleep disordered breathing can cause breathing to stop or decrease while asleep, which can prevent the body from getting enough oxygen. Did you know, in children, less oxygen to the brain can increase the symptoms of attention deficits disorders by 50%. Some common signs of sleep disordered breathing in children are mouth breathing, snoring, restless sleep, attention difficulties, and bed wetting.
Adults diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea are at a 40% increase for high blood pressure, stroke, or heart attack. If you or someone you know suffers from snoring, restless sleep, chronic headaches, or daytime drowsiness, it is recommended they get a sleep study to determine the severity of their sleep disorder.
Studies have shown that up to 98% of patients who suffer from sleep disorders have abnormal anatomical features - most notably, underdeveloped jaws leading to a decrease in oral cavity volume.

Myofunctional Therapy
Myofunctional therapy is an exercise-based therapy. Think of it like physical therapy, only for the muscles of the mouth, tongue, and face. It can correct atypical chewing, swallowing, and mouthbreathing. Research has found that myofunctional therapy can also be an effective treatment for sleep-disordered breathing.

Tongue Tie & Frenectomies
A tongue-tie can be the hidden reason behind nursing difficulties in babies, feeding problems in toddlers, speech issues in children, and even headaches or neck pain in adults. Oral ties can mean a lot of unnecessary limitations to your child’s life. We use advanced laser technology to fully release your child’s tongue-tie in a precise, quick, and sedation-free procedure.
Comprehensive Exam
Our therapist evaluates frenum restrictions, palate shape, tonsils, airway space, and facial/muscle tone + function. An evaluation also includes observation of a patient's breathing, speaking, swallowing, facial symmetry and posture. Taking specific measurements to learn a baseline strength of the patient's tongue, lips and masseters.

Real Stories. Real Lives.
OROFACIAL MYOFUNCTIONAL THERAPY CAN PROMOTE DEEPER SLEEP + BETTER BREATHING.
We offer a solution for both kids and adults.
Underdevelopment of the jaws can lead to decreased oral cavity volume, which means the tongue will not have enough space to live inside the mouth. This will cause the back of your tongue to sit more into your airspace, especially at night. By increasing the oral cavity volume and training the tongue to stay up in the roof of your mouth, you may also increase the airspace you breathe through. By allowing better breathing at night, you should sleep more deeply and wake more refreshed.
